HAMILTON, CANADA (May 2, 2015): September Seventh Entertainment Limited announced today the line ups for the Hamilton Music Awards Festival, Conference and Rising Star Search.  

The 2015 Festival includes a massive line up of over 100 acts performing in 13 venues throughout downtown Hamilton May 21-23. Performers include Simply Saucer, Tomi Swick, Jack de Keyzer, Lori Yates, Jamie Oakes, Bud Roach, Scantily Plaid, Silverstein, Tongue Fu, Hachey the MouthPEACE, The Vaudevillian, Jacob Moon, Rita Chiarelli and many others. The list of performers announced today is in addition to the Main Stage Concert Series previously announced which includes Lee Harvey Osmond, Laura Cole, Harrison Kennedy, Diana Panton, Jesse Cook and Justin Dunlop.  Festival passes go on sale Saturday at 10AM at www.ticketbreak.com or by calling 1-866-943-8849 or at Picks and Sticks, 140 Locke Street South.

Nominees and performers will be able to pick up their complimentary tickets to HMA events beginning Saturday at 10AM at Picks and Sticks, located at 140 Locke Street South. Representatives must bring a piece of photo ID in order to obtain tickets.

Hamilton Music Awards Producer and Founder, Jean-Paul Gauthier, also announced the line-up for the 2015 ArcelorMittal Dofasco Conference & Rising Star Search taking place during the day on Thursday May 21st.

This year’s Conference includes the Sound Recording Panel featuring some of Canada’s best music shapers including Gavin Brown (Lady Gaga, The Tragically Hip, Billy Talent, Howard Shore, BNL), Nick Blagona( The Police, Deep Purple, Allotrope, Cat Stevens, Green Day, Foo Fighters), moon:and:6 (Jacob Moon, Royal Wood, Whitehorse, Sarah McLachlan), Darren Magierowski(Alexisonfire, Snoop Dogg, Sheepdogs, Harrison Kennedy), Carm Milioto (Hachey the mouthPEACE, The Zilis, Tongue Fu), Karen Kosowski( Metric, BNL, Nelly Furtado) and musician, Katie Bulley. The 2015 edition of the Rising Star Search will take place during the Conference this year giving contestants the opportunity to perform in front of their fans as well as industry representatives in town attending the conference. Gauthier stated, “We are excited with this new format and believe it will be of huge benefit for these young performers”. The Rising Star Search line-up includes Good Anya (Dundas Valley Secondary School/McMaster University,Dundas/Hamilton),

Katie Harbour (Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School, Ancaster), Avery Raquel (Russell Reid Public School, Brantford), Matthew Kristan (Brock University, St Catharines/Hamilton), Camille Intson (Westdale Secondary School, Hamilton ), Jessie Bower (Bishop Ryan CatholicSecondary School, Hamilton),  Abby Rose (St. Paul Catholic Elementary School, Stoney Creek) and Ethan Jones (Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School, Stoney Creek). 

2015 marks a 20-year journey for the Hamilton Music Awards, Festival and Conference which began as Hamilton Music Scene, an unofficial pre-JUNO Festival, when the JUNO’S hit the road and landed in Hamilton, in March 1995.

The Hamilton Music Awards and Industry Awards were established in 2004 to promote and recognize Hamilton’s vibrant music community.  The Music Awards are broadcast nationally each year and have featured appearances by Monster Truck, Daniel Lanois, Arkells, The Reason, Ian Thomas, Lighthouse, Eugene Levy, Crowbar, Jackie Washington, Garth Hudson, Teenage Head, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Whitehorse and many more.  To date, over 600 awards have been given to local artists and industry. The conference is attended by over 700 students and artists annually and features guest speakers from all walks of the Canadian music industry. The festival takes place over two nights in venues throughout Hamilton’s downtown core.
