HAMILTON, CANADA(April 9, 2015): September Seventh Entertainment Limited announced today two more main stage concerts at Dofasco Centre for the Arts as part of the Hamilton Music Awards Festival. 2015 JUNO Award winner, Diana Panton will be performing as a quartet (Guido Basso, Reg Schwager and Don Thompson) along with special guest Harrison Kennedy on Thursday May 21st. Lee Harvey Osmond and 5-time HMA nominee, Laura Cole, will be performing on May 22nd. Also announced today, songwriter Justin Dunlop, will be opening for Jesse Cook on Saturday May 23rd. Tickets for both concerts go on sale Saturday at 10AM at www.theatreaquarius.org and at the Dofasco Centre for the Arts box office. Tickets for the Industry Awards which take place at 6PM on Saturday May 23rd also go on sale Saturday.
Diana Panton won Jazz Recording of the Year at the JUNOS in March. She will be performing with musicians Guido Basso, Reg Schwager and Don Thompson. Bluesman, Harrison “Sweet Taste” Kennedy, will be performing an opening set for the evening. Both Panton and Kennedy are multiple Hamilton Music Award winners . This year, both Panton and Kennedy are nominated in multiple HMA categories for their albums, Red and This Is From Here respectively
Lee Harvey Osmond(aka Tom Wilson) makes an appearance in support of his hugely anticipated album, Beautiful Scars. Wilson, also a member of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, is a multiple Hamilton Music Award winner. Blackie has multiple nominations in 2015 for the album South. Also on the bill is Ancaster’s Laura Cole. Cole is celebrating her debut release, Dirty Cheat, which has earned her five HMA nominations including Female Artist of the Year, New Artist/Group of the Year, Record of the Year and Songwriter of the Year – the first time an artist has been nominated in all four of these categories.
Songwriter, Justin Dunlop will open for Jesse Cook. Dunlop’s album, Black Bay Nocturnes, is up for Adult Alternative album of the Year. Artist bios and photos are included below.

2015 marks a 20-year journey for the Hamilton Music Awards, Festival and Conference which began as Hamilton Music Scene, an unofficial pre-JUNO Festival, when the JUNO’S hit the road and landed in Hamilton, in March 1995.
The Hamilton Music Awards and Industry Awards were established in 2004 to promote and recognize Hamilton’s vibrant music community. The Music Awards are broadcast nationally each year and have featured appearances by Monster Truck, Daniel Lanois, Arkells, The Reason, Ian Thomas, Lighthouse, Eugene Levy, Crowbar, Jackie Washington, Garth Hudson, Teenage Head, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Whitehorse and many more. To date, over 600 awards have been given to local artists and industry. The conference is attended by over 700 students and artists annually and features guest speakers from all walks of the Canadian music industry. The festival takes place over two nights in venues throughout Hamilton’s downtown core.
